In this final level, you will begin the process of learning about and getting involved in your local association. The Columbia Board of REALTORS® will be your main contact for everything real estate. These tasks will provide you with background information and an opportunity to make the most out of your membership. Look below for some more information about CBOR.

A Brief History of CBOR
Founded in 1944, the Columbia Board of REALTORS® (CBOR) is the voice of over 600 real estate professionals in Boone County, Missouri. The Board is comprised of many committees and numerous task force groups which cover a wide range of activities from legislation and professional standards to public relations and cultural diversity.

Our Approach These Days
Over the years, the Columbia Board of REALTORS® has taken on the role of educator in the political arena. Rather than take strong positions on many issues, the Board of REALTORS® provides forums, newsletter articles, candidate profiles and special mailings to its members to keep them aware of issues of importance to our community. We have encouraged our members to form their own opinions independently and thoughtfully. We will continue to support and enhance these efforts.

The Columbia Board of REALTORS® Leadership is comprised of a Leadership Team and the Board of Directors. Board members meet monthly to discuss and vote on important matters pertaining to the local association.
