In this final level, you will begin the process of learning about and getting involved in your local association. The Columbia Board of REALTORS® will be your main contact for everything real estate. A Brief History of CBOR
Founded in 1944, the Columbia Board of REALTORS® (CBOR) is the voice of over 600 real estate professionals in Boone County, Missouri. The Board is comprised of many committees and numerous task force groups which cover a wide range of activities from legislation and professional standards to public relations and cultural diversity.

Our Approach These Days
Over the years, the Columbia Board of REALTORS® has taken on the role of educator in the political arena. Rather than take strong positions on many issues, the Board of REALTORS® provides forums, newsletter articles, candidate profiles and special mailings to its members to keep them aware of issues of importance to our community. We have encouraged our members to form their own opinions independently and thoughtfully. We will continue to support and enhance these efforts.

Leadership
The Columbia Board of REALTORS® Leadership is comprised of a Leadership Team and the Board of Directors. Board members meet monthly to discuss and vote on important matters pertaining to the local association.

Staff

Brian Toohey
Chief Executive Officer
Brain serves as the general administrative officer of the Board. He ensures the association stays involved in local politics, primarily those affecting REALTORS®, and provides knowledge to the membership regarding important matters.

Liz Wolf
Chief Operations Officer
Liz serves as the administrator for the Multiple Listing Service (Flexmls), Key & Lockbox System (Supra), and Transaction Management System (Instanet). If you are having technical difficulties with these systems or simply want to learn more about utilizing them, send Liz Wolf an email or give her a call.

Rachel Davis
Membership Director
Rachel processes all membership changes within the Board. On top of handling the monthly and annual invoicing for membership dues, Rachel also assists in planning our Board’s social functions. If you change contact or office information, or have a question about a bill, contact Rachel Davis.

Lissa Atkins
Professional Development Director
Lissa plans and coordinates all of the educational meetings for CBOR members throughout the year. Lissa also assists in coordinating the CBOR Leadership Academy, which provides CBOR members an opportunity to learn more about getting involved in a leadership capacity with the association and within the community.
